I don’t think they have front brakes lol. Fucker’s mint mechanically. Has loads of torque. Does 20 consistently up and down hills and whatever, definitely has more in it. I‘m pretty certain you could put 33’s on it and it would still pull to the governed RPM lol

Well I sold the Gator lol.

It was a nice machine, and idk what I should’ve expected, but holy shit did it take you for a ride on any surface aside from smooth gravel.

But on a positive note I bought maybe a new tow rig.

‘99 F-450. 7.3 ZF6 with 190,000 on it.

The “maybe” comes down to what gearing it has lol.

450 shouldn't be too bad. Zf5 though I believe?
Shifter is ZF6, so I’m hoping that’s what we’re dealing with. Reverse is to the left and up. Followed by L thru 5.

Said the truck got a clutch and trans from ford two years ago. Maybe they updated?

4.10 or 4.30 I’ll be OK with. I also don’t known if it’s early or late 99 since it has door and fender badges lmao.

Cab swap from a different truck? We used to do some real shit to make one good truck from 2 f***** up trucks
I wouldn’t be surprised if it got doors or fenders from something else. All the paint matches, looks factory shot and it had hardly any rust. I don’t mind when shit had a backstory as long as it makes sense. I’ll know more tomorrow when I go grab it.

Service truck I drove years and years ago was a 99 550 single cab with the zf6. No startin slug wouldn't outrun a potato but it never left me anywhere til it decided to burn the shop down in the middle of the night

I need a bigger trailer. Three mowers in the flatbed of the 450 loaded on my trailer.

450 needs up pipes BAD. Has your typical 7.3 oil leaks but the pan is very solid. Got a transmission and clutch last year and a complete rear end rebuild in 2017 with receipts, so I’m happy about that. Drives great, no suspension noises, brakes are solid. But the gearing.... ugh.

70mph is 2,800 RPM. For those that don’t know these trucks, redline is like 3,200 factory lol.

So the Gator essentially got me the F-450 and the tractor. That was kinda my thought process in selling it is I could get far more useful shit.

Ironically this came from my friends Jeff’s (where I work on my stuff) neighbor, I think I’ve mentioned him in here before a few times. He’s got a big ass IH Farmall collection. He walked over while I was unloading the mowers from the F-450 to ask if I could ride his new motorcycle to the DMV for him to take the test on Thursday, then a guy showed up to buy a tractor from them. We got to talking and this Case was sitting there and he said he had a guy coming later and had a ton of interest in it. He threw out a super low number (well that’s why he had so much interest) so I was like yeah I’ll take it. He then went into the barn and pulled out all the original tin, original grille, etc for it that’s missing in the picture. Said his brother in law has a brush mower for it as well.

So yeah, finally got

Bought my first “real” tractor today for personal use. Case 310 industrial. Everything works. Two owner. I’m excited lol.

GTPpower GTPpower know anything about these old Case units?

I don't really. My neighbor had ford tractors of about the same size and age, but I don't think those were the same. Looks like you got a hell of a deal.

GTPpower GTPpower RdRnnR RdRnnR I was one state over today lol. Big farm auction Saturday in Baldwin, IA.

Pair of nice 4020’s, 2010’s, 8650, 4250 and a crispy 4960. Half a dozen other Deere’s as well that I can’t remember without looking back in the listing.
