Blatant dishonesty just grinds my gears, idk. I mean, selling stuff, we’ve all sent something down the road thinking “lord have mercy on your soul“. If the blower motor resistor doesn’t work on setting “3” I’m not telling you that shit, but I’ve never once failed to disclose a major issue I was aware of, and have never rolled back mileage.

I was bored this morning, and have been wanting to do a YouTube channel for what I do for a while now. I threw this together in about an hour, it’s kinda boring and monotone but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. Those that know me personally would expect the dry humor to come through eventually. The TCG Youtubers and Videographers thread paired with a friend of mine starting a channel lit a fire under my ass.

LMK what you guys think, I’ll probably do more videos start to finish on cleaning this truck up and selling it.

Got the plow on my Yukon. Kinda my signature best of all worlds setup I’ve done on a few trucks.

7’6” Western unimount plow. These are cheap as dick to work on and are built like brick shithouses. The later Ultramounts had a lot of issues comparatively.

HOWEVER, the truck side mounts for Ultramount are far superior. They are damn near invisible if you cut your air dam nicely and don’t get caught up on everything. Luckily Western made a conversion bracket to use the older plows with newer mounts.

Wiring was old secondhand stuff and took two days of head scratching but it’s finally done.

Torsion bars adjusted but bracket needs to be adjusted.

You have any use for a huge pipeline welding rig? My friend retired a few years ago and is ready to let go of his truck it’s an f750 and still loaded with all the equipment I think he’s looking to get rid of everything welder tools torches air compressor, has a big crane on it also, I can get more details if it’s something you would be interested in

I might, or could help him facilitate a sale. Get me some info on it for sure.

Yukon did great its first time out. I started out going easy on it and then a timeline started becoming more important so I kicked it into “Ive been doing this for 13 years and I’ll fix it later” mode.

Held up just fine, no complaints. After doing a larger parking lot there were some random burning fluid smells coming from it. Kinda power steering esque but might be trans :dunno: . I meant to grab my edge monitor out of my dually to monitor trans temp since the 1500’s didn’t have a gauge but I forgot. I’ll probably throw a cooler on it over the summer just to help as much as possible.

I’m definitely going to be changing the plow setup up on it come spring. The unimount paired with the conversion bracket have about 150#’s on a mid weight Ultramount plow, and the majority of the weight would be about 7” closer to the bumper. Even with the torsion bars maxed out and 600#’s of ballast in the back it’s super raked and way low in the front.

This is one of those google searches where someone should pop up and ask if you’re about to make poor life choices.

AKA I found a truck I want in Portland, OR. Figure if I’m going to fly out and get it I should buy a second one and tow it home. Gives me redundancy if one happens to break I can swap them out and also cuts my transportation costs in half spread over both vehicles.

This also means a 3/4 ton pickup will most likely be maxing out a uhaul tow dolly next month.

And speaking of a high priced 5.4, ha. This has to be close to 6.2 territory.
