It's been a while since I've posted anything car related. Been busy at work in life itself, but, I've got some time again and missed boring y'all with my dumb vehicular purchasing.
Most of you have seen this truck posted. I bought it as an auction flip, but, after finding rust in the doors, rockers and tailgate on my F350 I decided it was time to go. Sold it private party for a very very strong number and decided to keep the dodge until I order my next new truck.
2008 Dodge Ram 3500 HD. 6.7 Cummins, A6 trans with tap-shift and exhaust brake, 4x4, DRW.
Tinted windows, cut the racking off, added a sport grille, rebuilt front end (ball joints, wheel bearings, brakes, axle joints, etc.) and have been driving the shit out of it. I've put roughly 7,500 miles on it in the two months I've owned it running auctions and a recent Colorado trip.
How I got it.
Rack Removal
Grille and tint
Everything was DIY, even the tint. Just elbow grease and some time.
Next is a 2002 Sierra 2500 HD. Just a plow truck. New brake/fuel lines, manifolds, tires. Just a damn good running not pretty work truck. Bought at auction in Michigan and sourced a used plow and truck side locally on CL. Put it together in an evening, only plowed once so far
And I snagged this last night for when I don't feel like driving a 1-ton dually lol. I'm doing a fair amount of proxibidding on auctions now, but like to go inspect items beforehand. Since there's no chance of me taking anything home that day having a 50mpg car is kinda nice.
As for the Formula and El Malo. El Malo is having some more bodywork addressed as we speak, and the frame is currently getting coated. That'll be coming together slowly as always, but at least there's some progress. The Formula turned into a bigger can of worms. Unbalanced clutch took out main bearings so the engine is out and apart currently lol. Maybe by 2020 I'll have a running project.
