does your family's place ever get sketchy with water?

The house itself and shed are always fine because they're high enough. The back road and the property off of it does get a decent mount of water when the levels rise. Our fuck bag neighbor was draining his sump right outside of his basement and the run off puddled on our property near the road and screwed up the soil so we have to back fill but I'm afraid as soon as the water level rises all the work will be for nothing.

crazy amounts of rain, and its the 3rd record breaking year in a row for May. Skilling said no river system in the world could handle the rain we got the last few days. Even Chicago's deep tunnel was filled to capacity from 8"+ rain. Those massive underground tunnels and reservoirs they started building in the 70s that just recently finished... that's supposed to help with flooding in the city.

Climate change and urbanization y’all.

water is all collected and directed to waterways which are also dammed and artificially regulated.

weather patterns are changing, storms are getting more XTREME and added to the above, shit happens.

:werd:

water drainage dicks can only predict/forecast/regulate so far up the "chain"

Not like the lakes are ever closed to boat traffic but this was pretty stupid knowing how many people are out riding sleds, atvs, and ice fishing.
