chain is still llooooow.

which is better than the alternative.

i also kinda wonder if "they" are keeping it low to work on the dam/or in preparation for storms, ooooorrrr to try to keep people off the chain during covid-19 without saying it.

Kinda related to this thread?

With the higher water levels, I decided to venture through the channel which goes by choppers. I've snowmobiled it back in the day but never boated it.

Pretty fucking neat. Now having done it I think I would give it a go at "normal" levels in my pontoon also.

Don't think I'd try it in an IO or something the size of my formula.

Well according to predictions Lower Fox River is going to raise to the highest its been since the 2017 record flood. We are at 5.53ft now and its supposed to rise to 6.2ft. 7.7ft is the record from 2017. Right now we arnt much higher than we were a few weeks ago and numerous times last year. I think river is doing alright now but weekend rain could really do some damage.

Whats more interesting is the flooding elsewhere. This house is probably a quarter mile from me. The creek its on his usually about 4-6ft wide and probably no more than a foot deep. It winds through Barrington Hills and empties out into the Fox River just south of my bay. I never seen it this high. It is currently causing more damage than the fox river.

The ponds around my neighborhood are almost spilling over and they're normally 1-2 feet beneath the grass line. Even little creeks around the area that don't flow to the river are also white water rapids at this point. That 8" of rain we got flooded fucking everything.

right, the bigger issue is these storms we keep getting where we get 4-6 inches of rain in a day or two.

that's bad.
