Don't know the guy, but it was totally awesome to see a car like this being driven around. Like the one in the pic, but No. 6. I assume it was a GT and not a GT40, although it would be even more awesome if it was a GT40...

Pretty sure I have seen the car before. It's got a speed racer (like the movie) paint theme.

That paint scheme was a factory option in 2006. It was a limited-edition ‘Heritage’ paint scheme in honor of the JW Automotive/American Gulf Oil-sponsored Le Mans-winning Ford GT40. The white circles were left blank when new so you could put whatever number you wished in it. Beautiful cars and VERY fun to drive.

OK, it was definitely the newer version. Still very cool to see.

It was like the time I was driving home from work, totally fried from the dipshits I work with, only to look over and see a guy next to me in a GTR. I was straight startled, he just had a shit eating grin on his face.
