When is the car shop busy season? I know bikes is march through may, not sure about the 4 wheelers tho

I would say May-August. In August we start slowing down a little bit.

Speed Inc. for sure. I've trusted them with many cars and will continue to do so in the future. They did multiple installs and tuned my Zo6 and my CTS-V and did an excellent job and the customer service is outstanding.

Well, I had some work done and wound up taking it to FLP. Something wasn't right after so I had a well known tuner out east look at the tune and he said it was a wreck. Safety settings were wrong or just turned off, trans pressures were too high, injector programming was wrong for the ones I had in, just a bunch of wrong stuff.

I didn't take it back and had the east coast tuner fix it remotely (working with my local mechanic). Now it's running great.

This makes me wonder if their tune on my previous car led to it's motor implosion (it took a few years).


So I've answered my own question, I can't recommend FLP.

Well it's all tuned up now. Tune is great, car runs like a monster. Went with Jannetty Racing in CT. Did a remote tune working with my mechanic. Was very thorough and knows his ZL1 stuff inside and out.

I plan to before the weather turns too cold. I'm out of town this weekend. Hopefully the calendar opens up for me after that.

Using Track Addict (iPhone app, pretty cool), I tried something quick on 53 last week. With a bad start (really eased into it, because I started from the side of the road and pulled into the lane as I started) and letting off before the 1/4 passed did 12.1, so I'M "hoping" for somewhere in the 10s if I can hook.

Headers, 2.5 pulley, 10% balancer, custom grind cam, injectors, BAP, HX, Roto-fab, 315 rear tires to try and get a little more traction.

I saw the tuner at FLP was wearing ridiculous multi colored pajama pants while working. Looked like something a 5 year old would wear. I left and never went back. I can't take a person seriously if they can't put on a real pair of pants to go to work.

I am not even wearing pants and get my work done just fine.

I have heard great things about Shane's tuning. Your car seemed to turn out great. I would recommend him also just from the customers I have talked to that are real happy with his tunes.
