First oil change on brand new cars?

Yeah. it will. its the weekend grocery getter and road trip car now that we have a 2nd car. it jsut dinged at us while in MO. said sorry, you are waiting till we get home. i will take it in next saturday to get changed.

I'm old school. I have always changed all new vehicles oil at 500 miles. After that everything gets synthetic and change every 3,000 or once a year for the toys.

I can't remember but I think I've always done 1000. It's been a while since I had a new car. Currently change mine every 3750. I just do what the book says. May need to plan ahead for the next change though, dealer raised the price $30 and now includes rotations. May be looking for a new shop soon.

I went ahead and had it changed. They told me I wasted money and oil. But. I don’t care. I won’t change it again probably for another 5k miles or 8-12 months.

My book says 15k, and trans fluid never.
