Does this mean every time they have a new "Episode" you've got to spend $60 on a new episode for maybe what, 6-8 hours of gameplay?

Smart, but, greedy move by Square Enix if that is the case.

To make things potentially worse...the PS5 releases end of next year (or should). The first FF7 content drops early next year. It would not surprise me at all if Square at some point made all future expansions PS5 only, meaning you have the cost of the expansions AND a new system to worry about.

There is zero chance all of the content will drop in 2020...so they are going to have to decide if they will then release upcoming additions on BOTH systems or focus on one.

I thought they said you can play it in classic mode where it's turn based? That was the selling point for me, I don't like the new way, I like it old school.

Yes, there is a "turn-based" mode. I'm not optimistic about how that is going to work though.

I mean, its not like switching on the turn based option changes the mechanics. It just freezes time and allows you to select what you want to do instead of button mashing.

I am definitely gettign Cyberpunk, screw FFVII at this point. It is pointless to pay $60 for a game and only be able to play in Midgar. F that shit.

Everything I read says there is added content, but, it still only takes place in Midgar. More content and areas will be added in the form of "new games for FFVII",

They added a ton and it's considered a full game. NOW, take in mind that in 2020 a full game typically means 8-20 hours of game play.

What about hte weapons(Ultima, Diamond, Emerald) Golden Saucer, flying the Highwind, etc.

I really hope they don't release this with "Remake" as the official title. I get that it is A remake, but couldn't they come up with something more creative than that? Idk, sounds weird to me.
