No way will this stand. The routine inspection clause was well covered when the warranty was announced. I know we made a point to call it out whenever we covered the warranty back in the day. It was a BS requirement, though understandable.

My coworker has an '06 Caliber which he bought new. He says the trouble with the warranty is the high deductible. He's fairly handy, so it's very rarely worth exercising. He says the only way he'll use it is if there's major engine or CVT failure.

I had a teacher with an '06 Ram who said the same thing. He eventually traded it for anew Jeep because it wasn't worth paying the deductible toward each issue the truck had.
