Marty and Jeff,

Do you guys do fender rolling? A friend just lowered his car (00 Z28) and runs 315 Eagle F1's out the back and when he turns the wheel rubs the fender. He needs this fixed ASAP.

:dunno:

I might also be interested in something like this. Have been thinking about renting the eastwood roller tool for a while now...

Ehhh......I hate this type of work..it usually ends up with the car needing paint. I haven't had the pleasure of using the eastwood tool yet, but have heard good things about it.

yeah I'm sure the fenders will need paint. Meh. My car is ugly anyway.
if you dont care about the paint, we could defenatly do it as i cant gaurentee how the finish will hold up.

is your frame notched? might want to think about doing that....

Yes, I want to do a notch, as well as some more bracing in the rear.

I need to get the frame straightened out or at least checked out first though.

Just heat up the fenders before you roll and all is good usually at least from what I have seen. Had my rears done by a local shop on my 300zx without a problem with the eastwood type roller.

So when u guys say needing paint work does that mean the inside of the fender gets fucked up or the outside? (where you can see easily)

Seems like a delicate procedure, probably why my dad :io: when I asked him if he wanted todo it.

yeah if you do a full roll back on itself it is hard for the paint to stretch far enough to make a 180 degree bend where there used to be a 90 degree bend... at least from what I have seen from others experiences.

I have access to one. I did my gto and michelles, was kind of a pain in the ass and the paint ended up cracking on mine.
