Fuck everything about running that fast on a treadmill. Feels like you're all out sprinting, yet it's only a 6:43.
It does but I don’t think I could push myself to that pace outside without the treadmill forcing a steady speed, I don’t remember what it was I think 9mph or 9.1 ish for a mile, as soon as I’m on the road running I’m pushing hard for an 8:00 mile lol

I'm the opposite. I can push hard outside, but dread the tread(mill).

Did the same mixed surface asphalt/gravel/grass ride two days in a row. Today focused more on consistent cadence and not trying to kill myself on Strava segments. Also rearranged my wahoo screen so I can zoom in and just see mph, total distance and RPM. Seeing the avg mph makes me go harder when I shouldn’t, then I get gassed out and my avg mph dips even more. Picked up 1.2mph by not watching it so that’s cool.

The last two days I got geared up to ride... both days I completely ran out of energy before getting to 5pm.

I’m going in the morning after working overnights. I want to hit 1000 miles for the year by next week so I still need to average 14.4 a day every day. Hoping to do 23-25 again tomorrow and buy myself a day off.

Luckily this happened while going downhill. Popped at the place I added a couple links and must have loosened the stiff link up a tad too much. Got it back together with the multi tool and good for another 20 miles.

Rode out to McDowell grove in Naperville again. 37 miles tonight got me to 1000 for the year so far. I like the prairie path a lot, but I’m so OCD about cleaning I have to wipe everything down after from all the dust. I have a 50ish mile prairie path fox river loop I may try to do twice next month. An asphalt century would be less effort but I don’t feel like changing tires with the sealant in them and I kind of prefer the limestone.

Was a busy week between getting miles in and working.

Finally did a road bike ride today. I bought an old Cervelo triathlon bike just after Covid for cheap . Never used it because of the bar set up was more for time trials . Well converted it over to standard bars and micro shift and love it. Have about 800 into the bike not bad I feel. Anyway, easy run yesterday and 40 miler ride and shake out run. I won’t lie the headwind coming back huuuuurt lol. Enjoy your day my fellow heath nuts.
