Weather permits, I'm thinking next weekend. Have guests over on the 12th, and if it's clear (no clouds, no haze) I'd like to watch the Perseid meteor shower, as it peaks the 12th into the 13th. Since i'll be up all night, that'll kill me for Sunday the 13th. But, if visibility is crap, like it has been the last few years, I'll probably do it Sunday (also weather permitting).
The last time I was going to park at Mundelein High School, but when I got there the place was deserted, and I didn't want to leave my truck exposed like that. So ended up parking at the Park District building further north, where the water park also it. Then rode the trail all the way counter-clockwise till I got to the "Trail Closed" signs by the ComEd lines. I still rode it though, all the way to the disc golf park.
