Naw that sounds dangerous ?. I have been nursing lower leg issues . So since my daughter inspired me to swim Iām trying to take that up. I completely suck and sink like an anchor . This isonly my 3rd attempt and yes lots of stopping. Then hit the treadmill.blueoval4life were you running along Mack Road about 3:45pm?
2500 is good enough to get you a lane on a master's team. That's about what I am doing 3x weekly.Naw that sounds dangerous ?. I have been nursing lower leg issues . I'm seriously considering getting a stationery setup for my bicycle so I can put some miles on this winter. My dad got one off of Amazon for like $120. Something simple where both wheels are on a roller setup, as I don't want to have to remove the rear cassette and derailleur.So....
And its getting too cold to walk out side. I plan on continuing to walk as long as comfortable, but I don't see myself being one of those people who gets out there and walks when its in the low 40's and below. With he right thermal underwear I could probably work through it. But I've been meaning to buy a Recumbent exercise bike to replace my upright that is works perfectly but is supremely uncomfortable for a man. The seating is too wide, and the position relative to the pedals is too close. Meaning that basically, after 30 minutes, it doesn't matter how you are doing, but rather than your ball sack is completely numb, and your ass hurts. That's no good.
So, I've been looking around at them. Wanted a mid-upper tier bike, NO subscription SHIT. Something I can get comfortable on for a 1-2hr ride. Considered the Schwinn 270, the Nautilus 616/618, and the Sole R92 at the upper end.
Finally settled on the Nautilus 618. Comes with a chest strap for HR monitoring so the cardio programs will work nicer than just using grips. Integrates with the android/apple health apps ( I only care about Apple Health ), has BT connectivity, a fan to keep you cool...etc.
Nautilus R618 Recumbent Bike
Designed for serious cyclists looking to find their edge, the R618 delivers comfort, dozens of training programs, connectivity, and free app-based tracking tools.www.nautilus.com
Should be here end of this week. Hope I didn't just waste $700 on a bike that I'll find uncomfortable to use. I was willing to look at the more commercial bikes, but then you get into the subscript shit half the time and I don't want a subscription. I'm fine with it syncing data to an app for tracking, but didn't want a proprietary one.
I've been averaging about 880cal a day walking between 7-10 miles a day. My average speed is about 3.6mph. Bit slower than before which was more like 3.7-3.8.
Actual rollers are pretty cool and work out your core because youāre constantly balancing. Thereās a learning curve or thereās ones that are āeasierā or have a fork mount. Once you get the hang of it though theyāre pretty fun and are quite the workout. Bob Kazamakis, do you have any recommendations for a low cost setup like I just mentioned? Would be with my 2015 Trek 7.3 FX running Bontrager H5 700x38 tires.

Otherwise the other options youād need to swap at least a rear tire. A traditional trainer with fluid or magnetic resistance would be the go to. Wind is cheap but expensive. This would be me without using a Fork mount setup.
Sadly, I'm not joking.
Darn. Resistance is actually a low priority to me. Just having the ability to pedal and keep the joints moving is priority. Iām old.Otherwise the other options youād need to swap at least a rear tire. A traditional trainer with fluid or magnetic resistance would be the go to. Wind is cheap but expensive.

Waiting to hear about the muscle and joint soreness in 1-2 days.About to hop on the new Recumbent exercise bike now. Lets see how this goes.
