Decided to test out my new camping gear and get some good trail riding in this past weekend. Went up to Baldwin, MI. They have multiple 40+ mile trail loops around the area. Most of which is National Forest.

Got up there early Friday afternoon. Stopped at the local Ace and acquired my DNR license and trail permit. Around $37 all together and good for 2017.

Setup camp at a small campground in Baldwin. Quiet place and the owner was a great guy. They have a small store onsite along with free wifi. Also have small cabins you can rent. Nice place.

I set out and tackled the Little O trail first. About 47 miles long. Mixed hard pack with some sandy areas. Deep sandy areas. Sand is now my nemesis. It was the cause of every time I went down. Which was a few times.....lol

I would say these are intermediate trails. Lots of whoops, loose sand, trees......ect. Pretty challenging and I was not riding real hard. I didn't know the trails and was by myself. I had one bad fall that my leg got twisted up under the bike. Luckily I was able to walk it off though my knee and ankle are a bit sore. Riding gear is essential and my boots and armor saved my ass on a few occasions.

Saturday I set out to do the Big O trail. A 57 mile loop with tons of whoops and some deep sand. After each loop I was beat and called it a day. Enjoyed the evening relaxing by the fire.

Here are some pics and gopro footage I got while riding. Overall it was an awesome weekend. Weather was perfect. They have tons of trails for SXS and ATV's as well.

Video is in 1080P. May need to select quality as youtube defaults to crap.

Looks like a good time, Mike. Pace looks slowish, but I can respect that on a bike.

Your exhaust sounds a bit loud for riding all day.... does it ever bother you?

Riding by myself is the main reason I was not going all out. No one to help me if I get hurt.

That is with the silencer/spark arrestor in...........lol I usually have headphones in listening to music. So doesn't bother me one bit.
