The ims used the same row of IMS pins on the large round connector. Pressure switches a different row entirely. That psm row is slowly depopulated over the revisions

The wiring of the 4t80E and the wiring of the 4t65E share a lot.

It may be in my other 80E thread... But I have pictures of all the pin out of the various years 80E and 65E showing the changes with the pressure switch, manifold wiring and internal mode sbitch.

The 65e got its carp from the 93/94 4t80e r&d...

94 my was the ollld style 4t60e/440t4

Okay thanks. And I apologize for my ignorance here, I'm just concerned now if I cooked my transmission by wiring up a pigtail for a 94-99 and it's actually a 00+. As said, it worked for a short time. Would it have worked at all?
Basically that 'yes/no' question there is also to help me figure out which 'era' my 4T80 is from, and make sure I wire it up properly when I get it back from the builder. If the answer is 'no', then it definitively answers that I have a 94-99. If they answer is 'yes', ... well damn.

Okay! So after asking Mike (and him understandably looking at me like I'm a dummy), he said that a TCU wired up just to control a 94-99 transmission (so none of the additional wires that were added to the connector by GM), there's not a way for it to control a 00+ 4T80. Our pigtail is effectively 'depopulated' of everything but what the diagram showed we absolutely needed, since we built it from a terminal kit.

It might be worth talking to K Kerchakone. He makes it sound like 4T80E control would easy to do with PCM Hammer.
