Wife’s has a 18’ Durango GT V6 AWD Plus package. we leased it new back in December 18’ and so far only issue was a exhaust tip that was offset which was covered under warranty. Which is impressive in 23k so far.

we picked the Durango due tohe third row seating and that it has second row bucket seats which is nice for who ever needs to get to the third row seats.

Reason for leasing - first ever dodge product for us here, and felt if we leased it and had issues we can turn it in. Lol

We looked at other third row SUV’s, so far it fits all our needs, comforts and been very surprised on the lack of warranty issues.

“Conversely, Durango owners report their least favorite things about the vehicle are its fuel economy, door closing sound, outward visibility, second-row seat room and amount of cargo space.”

Seriously the door closing sound? What is unpleasant about it? Will have to open and close all doors on all vehicles now to find out if any of of them are unpleasant. Lol

Yeah, that was LOL worthy. Again as I said, petty reviews by people.

It sounds like a normal car door closing. Maybe they have expectations that there will be no sound at all when closing?

Probably no sound at all or what a choir or angels hums as the door closes? I bet JD powers has an award for best door closing sound. ?

LOL. Some luxury cars have that “soft door closing” function, where as big heavy rides like the Charger/Durango have heavy doors that close with a little thump. Either way it’s a stupid knock on cars.

What about an older Toyota LC or Lexus LX570? They hold their value like crazy and even a few years old ask for top dollar but they are rock solid. Gas mileage is pretty bad but no other downside IMO.

I was looking into used LX570s. Lexus hasn’t updated that truck in so long. The interior in a 2018 looks like something from the 2000s.

50K can get you in a luxury SUV. We looked at a bunch of 7 seaters last year and decided on the Acura MDX. Really nice SUV for the money, though it's going to be updated soon for 2021.
That's what we went with after driving the Exploder, Pilot, Santa Fe, Sorento, and Q7. Been a good car, runs pretty hard, and gets really good mileage.

The driving experience is something else. I’ve been like 15mph over the speed limit before I realized I’m going too fast.

I was in a new 2019 RS5 sportback last August in Richmond VA and id give a limb for that. 4 door awd and just as quick at the 18 5.0 I had but far more useable vehicle. Also nearly double the price thought. The interior quality makes my Fords feel like a powerwheel LOL.

I highly doubt youll regret that Q7

I was pretty much ready to order the Durango on Saturday, had a deal and everything in place with the dealer. And then Thursday night I started having second thoughts about buying a new car and taking that depreciation hit, especially on a Dodge. This Q7 was an easy decision when I found it.
