Sanded the log down with 60 grit, 1/4ā€x4ā€ spax powerlags (9) holding each loading plate on, 1/4x 1.5ā€ lag bolts for the handles. Rope is screwed into the log, the heads hide nicely between the strands. Canā€™t even see them.

I wish Iā€™d had a better chainsaw to work with, hand hole notches are a little sloppy. It was tough to fit the handles on the inside, so they mated smooth against the log, wedged composite shims real tight behind everything.

Custom name plates and all.

All the crossfit bros will be knocking down your door for them
Ehhhh not worth the time. Iā€™d need some more tools to speed up production. Definitely did a lot of this a harder way than it could have been.

If it werenā€™t for the free telephone pole, pipe and welder this would have cost another $150-200. Iā€™ll add up what Iā€™ve got into it tomorrow.

Also, should have waited about a week to start building this. The wood dried out a ton from start to finish. It would have been way easier to work on dry. It was very fibrous when I started
It's been sitting on the ground for 7 years. Before that it was a legit power pole.

I have several more.
