It is cribbing. You raise the car like you would jackstands. I like these because they take up less space and give you the versatility to have the car on just the rear or front wheels. After reading about a kid dying from having his Cobra fall on him when he had it on jackstands I wanted to make these.

So do you make another set to support the jack to get it high enough to still raise the car? I imagine you need to use a bottle jack too?

This is cool, not as convenient as above but smaller and more portable and still effective at getting the vehicle way up in the air.

You have to out it up that high in steps. I have 4 jack stands as well so I can have a medium point in between. This is just way more solid and creates more space underneath the vehicle vs jackstands. I have all of my wood cut, I just need to screw everything together. It cost me less than $40 for the material.
