craftsman was one of the few Sears brands i would off been fully dedicated to buying if they didnt send their crap overseas and destroy the warranty

Used to always buy Craftsman. Remember the few times I had an issue with a tool...I'd head over to the Sears store down the street...and it was no questions asked "yep...go grab yourself a replacement" would be the response from customer service.

I want to buy this deal because its a hell of a deal...but I don't really need it! Damn it!!!

The craftsman hand tools look identical to the cobalt stuff

I know we are making the product, but it is being made exclusively for Lowes, I think. Maybe part of the agreement was to keep the look of the Kobalt line since this replaced it or we simply repackaged the existing Kobalt inventory in Craftsman packaging and will do a rolling change as they sell through the product. I am no expert here because this falls outside the scope of my business.

a REALLY good version one of these popped up today on amazon/farm & fleet. amazon is $5 more, so here's the farm & fleet link.

it's the 192 piece one, but the number doesn't tell the whole story- it's mainly sockets/extensions:

WAAAAYYYY more sockets/better stuff than the 200 piece unit from home depot for the same money.

I feel like I should have a second set. I get sick of transporting it between the garage and the basement. Plus the one I have does not keep the pieces in place all the time. Sometimes I just have to pull out like half of them to get them back in the right spot, drives me fucking nuts. I even put a piece of cardboard between to minimize the gap for things to get loose and fall out.

although the Husky 1025 set for $39 is probably what it should be worth :bowrofl:
IDK man, I have a ton of Husky tools in my box and have never had an issue. I've done everything from suspension work to pulling motors in my garage with my Husky tools. Granted they arent used everyday, but they do get used often.
