I'm thinking of taking the ABS off my 99 Camaro. The car only comes out when it's nice out and I'm in the middle of painting the engine bay. The ABS is ugly and I don't really see a need for it. Anyone done this a regret it? If so why? The only reason I would think of keeping it is to keep the car somewhat original, but the trans has been swapped from an auto to a manual and the stock rear end is long gone, so what does ABS matter? Thanks for feedback.

I haven't had it since I put in my 12bolt 3 years ago. Never even notice it. It's just disabled but I'm looking into removing it altogether this summer.

I'd think using an adjustable proportioning valve and re routing the lines would be easy enough.

I hate my abs as well. I'd love to ditch it

Ditch that ABS bullshit. I did mine, its not hard to do if you have a good flaring tool. I haven't had ABS since I've owned the car.

Thanks for the feed back. Just making sure no one has regretted it. Didn't think anyone would, but I wanted to see if there was something I wasn't thinking about. Keep them coming.

Are there readiness codes you can delete or get to report as functioning with hpt?

i can tell you what NOT to do.. dont cut the circuit board for that particular LED.. the car then knows the led is out, and sets off other cluster lights.
