Ok..so...
  • This is the most Ryan Reynolds movie that Ryan Reynolds has made, so you're mileage is gonna vary with this one if you get tired of him quickly.
  • This was pretty much a fan service movie only, especially towards the end.
  • The cameos were GREAT and completely unexpected.
  • This was clearly a buddy movie that two friends really wanted to make and you can tell they were loving it.
That said...it was good not great, for me. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again and most everything was forgettable.

There are two post credit scenes. One comes maybe 30 seconds after the credits roll (and can be ignored if you want, it doesn't relate to the movie or the MCU and the one that comes after ALL the credits is just a callback to something from earlier in the movie...again, can skip it and just watch on YT).

So I dunno how to take this. It was enjoyable, had some solid laughs but the movie MCU needed to kickstart things again? I dunno. It was mostly just 2 hours of making fun of MCU and Fox.

In closing, if you're heavily invested in the MCU, have seen all the movies and tv shows and LOVED the previous 2 Deadpool's, you'll love this one.
I completely disagree. I've seen every Marvel movie and TV show except Howard the Duck. I love them. They're not all winners, but who could expect them to be? I loved DP, and I thought DP2 was even better. That parachuting scene may be the most enjoyable scene in a movie theatre I've ever experienced. This... was not really that good. Like a 4.5/10 maybe. It certainly had it's enjoyable moments. It was easy enough to sit through. It felt like non-consensual mind fuck of nostalgia and second chances, and they didn't use lube. It certainly had some high points, but on the whole, it felt like fanservice for 35-45 y/o's who don't want to move on. There was far to much dialogue for a story that just wasn't there. I do agree with your sentiment about this being a fan 2 buddies wanted to make with one another. The soundtrack was pretty good. Not GotG level, but pretty good. I won't go into any further detail than that for now.

I'm seeing it tomorrow. Without spoilers, what would have made it better? I had a feeling this movie was going to be good but not as epic as it's hyped to be.
For me, I think there wasnt really a story. It was just a movie to have Reynolds and Jackman team up and then just have 50 or so cameos. Which, I mean isn't necessarily a bad thing because everyone looked like they were having a blast. But I just cant put my finger on it.

Exactly.

Great mindless fun, but IMO does absolutely zero to move the MCU forward.

Definitely worth seeing though.

Also, the final street battle, listen to the voices, you'll catch a few familiar ones.

Also, lady Deadpool is Blake and the kid and baby Deadpool are ryan's kids.
