Those classic muscle cars are great to look at but aren't fun to drive. Drive further than the local cruise night and you can see they aren't very enjoyable. They can't compare to new cars. That is why these cars are being restored with everything besides the body being updated to new tech. Classic looks with modern suspension, drivelines, technology, and so on.

Option 2 sounds like a lot of time and money to invest into it. Finding a done car would probably be way cheaper. But maybe you are just looking for a project to work on and make your own. Luckily, there is a TON of options for suspension and chassis upgrades for these cars.
R8 is a very fun car to drive and I drove it too much lately , so even if I throw bunch of money at the Z/28 I don't see myself driving it much anyways .I'm going to do few small changes and pretty much keep it as is.

Today was the first day I was able to take the car for a longer cruise since I bought it last fall . Had it out for couple hours today . It's a very nice car but I wasn't expecting that much of an attention. It's fucken unreal how much attention this car gets .I had probably 50 thumb ups in couple hours . Had 3 guys asking me if I want to sell it .

it can finally show that dark blue pearl color .Love the look of both windows down .
