Can I get a quick schooling of why this is important for a coyote?

The factory gears were known to crack which is no good for a gear driven oil pump obviously.

From my research it appears the problem was most prevalent in the Gen1 Coyotes, literally people would drop them and they would crack/shatter. It sounds like the problem isnt nearly as bad in Gen2 and Gen3 models, but it's cheap insurance if you're planning on beating on things a little more than a stock one would.
