Color of text

First off, thanks alot for setting up this site, I'm sure it's going to be great. The only suggestion that I've got is to change the color of some of the text. When trying to register, most of the text looks invisible (is that possible???). Half the time I wasn't sure which field was for what.

Just a suggestion.

I think it was on that page, it's also like that when I edit my profile. Also, now that I look at it, directly below the reply text box where I can choose the "Post Icons", the text that reads:

"You may choose an icon for your message from the following list:"

is colored white on a light blue background. Maybe it's just my browser? Does it show up a different color for you?

hmmmm...I just tested it on another machine and it's looking the same. Let me try from a couple more, maybe with different IE versions, and I'll let you know.

Well, I was able to see stuff just fine from another machine, so it's gotta be something with my laptop and desktop. I'll try screwing with a couple other things and see if I can figure it out.

alright.. I'll close it..

but it sounds like the color depth on your computer might have been set too low

Click on the the TOOLS up on the file bar...
INTERNET OPTIONS, look for a button that says COLORS FONTS, click on COLORS and make sure that the box is checked for USE WINDOWS COLORS

See if that helps

Nope, that didn't do it, I already had that checkbox checked. Here's a pic (in b/w) of what I'm seeing...if you look at the right angle, you can see the text...

Did you try the fonts button? The only other thing I can think of is to right click your desktop click on properties. Then on Appearance tab and check to see what color the texts are in there..

I checked in Fonts, and there wasn't anything helpful in there. I DID go into "Accessibility" and checked "ignore colors specified on web page" and that got rid of all the background colors, but the text then showed up in black, instead of white/light blue/whatever it is....

Are you sure that the text is not in white in the attached pic?

I would change the scheme to windows standard and see if that does anything for you.

I think I got it now... I made my whole screen look wacky by screwing around... it was bad when the text did disappear!!

on your IE menu bar go to tools, then internet options, then click on accessibilty button. Make sure that all 4 are UNCHECKED, mine show checks but that is how I got it all screwed up!

Make sure also that you click on the Colors button and make sure that there is no check in USE WINDOWS colors

Let me know if this works
