Though ground chicken can have a lot less fat than beef it's s myth that it's always the case. Most standard ground chicken is 10% fat which is about the same as ground sirloin. Sirloin tastes a lot better too in chili. I have made chili using ground sirloin from a modified weight watchers recipe that is pretty low calorie/fat and high protein. The base is V8 and you can add protein noodles to make it a chili mac. So damn good.

Please share special tricks / ingredients etc., I'm always up for trying something.

I personally have not liked mixing ground beef and say turkey, I can taste them both easily.

I want to try a batch of chicken chili, I know I'd eat it, not sure if my boys will like it.
