Is that single row roll master heavy enough to run my is2 cam without having to deal with the chamfer shit? And I could possibly leave the balance shaft in place along with it and run a tensioner so I don't have to listen to the chain slap?

Which springs? You shouldn't have to modify or delete anything to run the single roller. It's a direct replacement. You don't want to run a tensioner with a roller chain though. It's made to fit tight on both sides with factory cam and crank locations. If you have chain slap with a roller chain then somebody did a bad job align honing the block.

I think I'm gonna use my 136s unless somebody wants to trade me for some 105s. I don't have intentions of turning major rpm or pushing a lot of boost so it's not like it'll ever be a max effort thing

hmmmm. Any interest in going with LS6s? They're supposed to be better than the 105s anyway. Single roller would be fine with LS6 or 105. I'd have to pull the LS6s from my old heads, but I'm willing to trade you both the springs and timing set for the 136s.

I'd cut you a deal on the 1.9s and pushrods too if you wanted. Would be a nice low-effort upgrade for the stock cam and stuff. Your call.

If Ls6s are gonna be enough for my little cam I'm all for it. I've just gotta pull the 136 springs off the heads they're on but I'm sure I could whack that out some evening pretty quick since they aren't on anything. I won't need the 1.9s, I already have a set of the stock modded ones collecting dust and I was never really all that impressed with them. I'd list mine for sale but I'll wait for you to get rid of yours first so I'm not taking away potential buyers from your sale

Oh shoot. I forgot about the cam. You'd probably be better off keeping the 136s but somebody smarter than me should probably answer that.

List away. Honestly, my plan was to throw my LS6 springs, intercooler, and 1.9s onto an L32 for a sand rail some day, so I don't mind keeping them. I just don't think I'm realistically ever going to own a third 3.8 toy.

Intense claims this cam to be "on the edge of ok to use with stock heads" now wether that includes springs I don't know but I would kind of doubt it. I also dont know what their head packages consist of because why bother looking at something that costs double or triple what I paid for the car if all it has are springs and a little port matching I guess. But I'm also cheap and I'm on the same wavelength as far as I have the one 3.8 car I like, I'm more inclined to play with other things lately and keep it for what it is as just a fun no bs car that you can hop in and drive whenever

They mean stock head porting. My ST2 is kinda the same way. I don't need ported heads to get good gains from the cam, but my head flow will help. You will probably run out of spring before you run out of cam if you put 105s or LS6s in with it. I also know a guy running LS6 springs with stock heads and an ST5, but it's fine. It just really depends on how your actually going to use the car. The ST5/LS6 guy just wanted to make noise and look crazy. Performance was not the end goal. He succeeded. lol

That's basically what I'm after, I don't care so much about pushing the car to its breaking point as I do everything working smoothly and it running without issues, to me it's just as challenging to build a car that maintains like stock drivability but is still fun to take out and light the tires up whenever I feel like it.

Thanks, but I'm good on sway bars unless it's a UMI or Strano.

Sold the single roller and pushrods with a new tensioner on Facebook.... 🤨. Anyway, all that's left is the intercooler kit!

Somebody here was interested in the intake and turndown. Please PM me if you're still interested. Make me an offer!
