I would be cool with a PHEV with at least 50 miles of range. I’m kinda hoping they end up doing that with the Maverick. How the floor pan is designed there is room for a 2nd battery pack with many speculating it will be for a plug-in down the road.

There is a charging cost estimator available in google if someone wants to check how much its gonna cost to charge EV in public. Don't think it comes even close to the number we pay for the fuel. When i think about that more, i honestly start to consider having an EV as my next car.

Hybrid will be most cost efficient for sure. Especially if you have to install 240-volt charging at home. Can’t always count on the work stations to be 1. Operational and 2. Empty. We had free charging at our downtown office building but they became so problematic that the parking garage eventually removed them. Plus, they were consistently taken by 8 am and people left their cars on the charger all day.

There is also a RAV4 XSE hybrid. Looks good, all the tech / upgrades, 40 mpgs, no charging
