Well, trying to figure out my next move, I decided to take on the next story mission, since its been sitting there forever :ROFLMAO: So the scenario is, this dude bought a "mustang", or at least this games version of a mustang before they released the Ford DLC (which I also have) that actually has a mustang........but anyways, he buys this mustang as a roller, so its basically a complete car.........except for NO engine, and also missing some front end body parts.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250301180952.jpg

So he wants me to build him an engine. From scratch. So I do!!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250301191011.jpg

This is the engine he wanted, so this is what I had to build. Here it is dropped into the car, with what I feel is a more appropriate color change for the head covers.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250301191740.jpg

He also wanted the car repainted the "factory color", which I always fucking hate, because even tho there are several factory colors you can paint a car, it never fucking counts towards your progress unless its just plain white. So here we are.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250301234839.jpg

With everything completed I sent it on its way. Didn't take many pics of all this cuz I just wanted to knock it out. But I did make a very decent $61k profit on this job.

So with that palette cleanser out of the way. I figured, fuck it. Lets do this. So I headed out to a barn, and just bought up every car that was in it :ROFLMAO: Didn't look at what was wrong w/ them or what they needed, just walked up to them and clicked buy. And here they are!!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302181111.jpg

What we have here is an electric tesla roadster type car

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302181444.jpg

Something that I think is supposed to represent a Volvo of some type

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302181509.jpg

And an early gen Lotus Esprit!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302181526.jpg

This is kinda fun cuz these are definitely cars I normally don't work on. Especially the electric one. I can't remember the last time I willingly took an electric car in to work on it :ROFLMAO: But I am most excited about working on the Lotus, so I will probably save that one for last. The volvo and electric car I'll probably just do my standard 50% parts quality restoration, but the Lotus I think I may just do a 100% restoration, because it deserves it.

Financially I'm going to lump these 3 all together as one job, and I'll tally up the total once I've restored them all and sold them. So far, just for the cost of the cars alone, I'm in it for $76879. Which......not bad for 3 cars! Tho, I still don't know what kind of work I'm going to need to put into them.... I haven't even popped the hoods on any of them yet, so who knows whats waiting for me.

Is Google paying attention to me yet?!?!?!

Got the Volvo restored!

Stripping it down

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302182956.jpg

Definitely not pretty.

But now it is!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302185951.jpg

Body repaired. Back on refreshed wheels and new tires

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302190624.jpg

Now to deal with this...

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302190701.jpg

Good as new!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250302193304.jpg

Back in the car, along with the remaining underbits

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250303175732.jpg

Seems I forgot to hide the camera interface when I took this one :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250303175827.jpg

Body panels reassembled, fresh coat of paint. I left it the same color cuz I kinda liked it. She's all set!!

Well back to work then. :ROFLMAO: Got the electric car restored now!

Lets do this.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304173013.jpg

The electric motor is buried so far in this thing its almost impossible to see from the top, so, heres my first look. Ehhh

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304173911.jpg

Lets just get straight to that I guess

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304174911.jpg

Here it is stripped down to the "block" :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304175130.jpg

Was able to repair about half the parts in this thing, and there were a few additional parts I was able to pull out of my warehouse for the stuff I couldn't repair. But overall, not too bad. Just like a rotary engine, there really isn't a lot to these :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304175256.jpg

Getting it back together

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304175719.jpg

Most of the components all go into this power electronic controller

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304175835.jpg

And shes back together!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304175956.jpg

Time to deal w/ the suspension. I must say I have never seen this on another car yet. :ROFLMAO: Guess to get the shock absorber to fit in the tiny form factor of this they had to reallllllllly compress the spring down so it doesnt clip thru anything

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304180419.jpg

But either way, suspension is complete!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304182201.jpg

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304182208.jpg

And since this is an electric car, they have battery packs. These are not in the best in the shape, and its missing one, but thankfully you can refurbish these, and I also have quite a stockpile of these in my warehouse that I've picked up from the junkyard.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304182309.jpg

All good!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304182529.jpg

And the motor is back in! Or what you can see of it at least.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304184001.jpg

Front end components installed

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304185207.jpg

Body panels and interior back in, and fresh paint!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304190157.jpg

And this one is done!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250304190718.jpg

Before, I likened this to a Tesla roadster because it's electric, but to be fair, the styling and even the badges on this thing are more akin to the Alfa 4C. And even to that effect, when I was restoring this, I discovered that like the 4C, this thing doesn't have power steering either :ROFLMAO: You know I really should work on more electric cars. There's just so much little crap you DONT have to deal w/ on these things. I know Im stating the obvious, but no pistons, pistons rings, rod caps, crank caps, spark plugs, camshafts, timing gear, etc, hell you don't even have to worry about a fuel tank or fuel pump or exhaust parts. Maybe I'll add one to my fleet one day.

Also it was kinda nice only doing my 50% resto on these 2 cars, cuz I was able to pull several less than 100% parts out of my warehouse that have been sitting in there doing nothing and use those up. So with these out of the way now...........I can finally start on the Lotus! Which will be a 100% resto. Can't wait to dive into that one.

Started restoring the Lotus!!!

Lets do this.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307145950.jpg

Taking this pic was the first time I ever laid eyes on the engine. This thing is weird. :ROFLMAO: Its installed at like a slant.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307150029.jpg

Underneath looking just about as good as the top.....

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307150214.jpg

But lets focus on getting this thing stripped out first.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307150556.jpg

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307151813.jpg

Decided to just go ahead and get the new interior back in right away. Kind of a shame, because the drivers seat in this thing was like 98% good still. But its not 100%!!!! So completely new interior was purchased.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307153313.jpg

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307153333.jpg

Got the front suspension all redone, and got all the parts for the rear suspension, but you really cant complete it until you get the engine and trans back in anwyays, so I"m leaving that for now.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307155412.jpg

Shopping list for the full front and rear suspension.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307153527.jpg

Frunk parts in

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307155330.jpg

Next up. This thing.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307155539.jpg

More fun to come!

Alright lets deal with this thing. Like I said this thing is weird. The cams are enclosed in their own "heads", and then they get bolted on top of the main cylinder head.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307155844.jpg

And because odd orientation of this engine, you basically have to turn it on its side instead of upside down to get to the internals. But........that does make it somewhat easier to deal with :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307160050.jpg

And fresh new internals in!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307162400.jpg

Coming back together. Thats the cylinder head

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307162635.jpg

The air filter setup w/ the dual carbs is kinda cool tho.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307162950.jpg

And all back together!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307163051.jpg

And back in the car w/ the rear suspension installed as well

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307164151.jpg

Wasn't too bad of a shopping list to get this thing tip top again.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307164245.jpg

And the underside w/ new exhaust installed

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307164717.jpg

Body panels and glass back on the car, and ready for an alignment

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307170035.jpg

Now lets do something that paint.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307170420.jpg

And shes ready for the dyno!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307170531.jpg

And the results. Its not much, but this car weighs almost nothing. I took it for a lap around the race track and it was actually quite fun. Since its so slow you could actually push it :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307170623.jpg

So. They are ALL done. And ready to be sold.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250307171428.jpg

So to recap. I paid $76879 for all 3 of these cars. Restoring them all actually only cost me a modest $35746, so all in I need at least $112625 out of these. And they sold for..............................................$204979! So thats a $92354 profit. Which..........if Im being honest, I kinda thought it would be more. But it also does depend on the car, and the level of work you put into it, so, overall not BAD. But, for the amount of work to get that 92k, I don't know that I wanna go do something like this again any time soon. :ROFLMAO: To break it down, the volvo sold for $36042, the alfa/tesla sold for $88226, and the Lotus sold for $80711, so it wasn't even the most profitable one even tho I did a 100% resto on it.

Now I need to figure whats next............ I'm searching for my next project car for myself. I really want either a Porsche Carrera GT, or Jaguar XJ220. Just need to find the "right" one.

:ROFLMAO: Those are both good points.

Also................I guess this is whats next! :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250309124750.jpg

Decided to check out the auction lot for once and see if anything special was there, and well................here was this Zonda Revolucion. The thing is...........this thing is actually in REALLY good shape. All this is missing is a few cosmetic parts. The rear clam, tail lights, one of the headlights, and passenger side mirror, and thats IT. This thing even fired right up on the lot! I had to have it.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250309124806.jpg

"estimated value" was like $106k and I picked it up for $107 something so right about there. This things gonna be easy. Not even sure how many pics I'll take of this, since everything looks almost brand new to begin with anyways. I probably will go for 100% resto on this. I HAVE been wanting to add one of these to the fleet.........but.......this ones almost too good :ROFLMAO: I'm gonna need to pick mine up from the junkyard or something so I can actually put some work into it.

Little more progress on the Zonda. Since this thing actually RUNS (so not used to that :ROFLMAO: ) decided to pop her on the dyno right off the bat to see what I'm starting with.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250310184538.jpg

Yeah we'll take care of that. Hell, even tho I'm selling this, I may pop on a FEW performance parts just for the hell of it. Next I did the usual, got her all stripped out! Look at all dat carbon Broke EF Broke EF

NSFW!!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250310190255.jpg

And here's the engine all ready to be torn down and rebuilt. God everything is still so clean on this thing. Pretty much every part on this thing is at least 50-60% or better. Pretty much the only parts I'm gonna need to buy for this resto are the consumable items. Which is why I might just splurge for some performance parts. Need something to spend my money on :ROFLMAO:

Got the suspension back in! I am many many hours into this game and just realized there's actually a lot of parts you can paint :ROFLMAO: control arms, shocks, springs, even wheel hubs. So I painted all the control arms black, and went for a KW coilover type look for the shocks and springs. Also replaced the steel rotors with carbon ceramic rotors, because thats what this car SHOULD have.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250311183003.jpg

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250311183034.jpg

And my modest shopping list of consumables. I now have lots of 50-60% parts stashed in my warehouse to use on future half ass flips, or to toss on customer cars as a certified "new" part. :ROFLMAO:

Did you replace all 4 spark plugs on the Lotus or just the 3 'bad ones?'
Love the color scheme

You passed up the Skyline and the Evo for the super car ? Mook Mook is disappointed.

On this one I replaced all 4. They're so cheap there's no reason not to. I usually only do that for flips tho. If this were a customer car and only 3 of them were bad, I likely would've only replaced the 3. And when I had the car in the paint booth that stripe actually looked black to me, I didn't even realize it was dark green until I got it out into the sunlight :ROFLMAO: But I still liked it, so I kept it. And yeah.......those cars in the auction lot are just background filler. You cant actually walk up to them or buy them. It's such a tease that they have an R32 lookin thing sitting there, but there isnt actually one in the game you can buy. There is an Evo/STi hybrid looking thing, and I've worked on several of them. I will add one to my collection one of these day. I do have the Nissan DLC tho, which has an R35, and a Silvia, which I still have not worked on either of those yet, but I definitely will.

Got the Zonda engine rebuilt!!! Here it is mid dis-assembly

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312181511.jpg

Stripped out to the block

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312182058.jpg

And reassembling!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312183648.jpg

I experimented w/ painting more parts on this one. I painted all the timing covers black

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312184735.jpg

And assembled! With performance headers installed, and I painted the intake manifold, belt tensioner, and oil filter :ROFLMAO: Could have also painted the power steering pump, fuel rails, and water pump, but I thought that would have been a bit much, and the water pump would have been hidden behind the TWO water pump pullies this thing has anyways. Sadly the thing on top, which is the thermostat, cant be painted, or I would have done that one.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312185959.jpg

And its back in the car! I also put the rear diffuser back in so it doesnt look AS weird :ROFLMAO: I also did a performance air filter, performance rear exhaust, and performance fuel filter.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312190924.jpg

Also painted the starter :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312191109.jpg

And the shopping list for the engine. 12 cylinders means lots of parts, but still. Nothing really overly expensive, or extensive. It's a LOT better than most of the junk I work on :ROFLMAO:

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250312184137.jpg

Time to finish this bitch up.

Got brand new interior in, and wheels back on w/ new tires

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315104736.jpg

All the rest of the misc bits back in the car (w/ the fuse box painted red :ROFLMAO:), along with the shopping list needed to get there, minus a performance fuel pump I purchased as well.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315105739.jpg

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315105802.jpg

Body reassembled!! I pulled the rear clam and passenger side mirror that it was missing out of my warehouse, and then bought all new glass and headlights/taillights

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315110539.jpg

Forgot to put the taillights back in before i snapped this

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315110619.jpg

So lets get this on the dyno and see where we are at now. To recap, the performance parts I added were: air filter, headers, rear exhaust, fuel filter, fuel pump, and I think thats it. And I didnt upgrade any of them either.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315110834.jpg

And, not too shabby! I'll take that.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315113002.jpg

And a fresh look!

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315113111.jpg

And lets just see what that translates to at the strip

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315113643.jpg

Ok! Thats respectable. Now. Here comes my problem. I don't think I want to sell it :ROFLMAO: I mean its not like I need the money at this point. I really like this thing and like what I've done with it. Including the cost of the car I spent about a total of $147022 on this, and its going to sell for $298128, so that would be a $151106 profit for me, which, is nice, but, eh.

To torture myself more I rolled out my Pagani Huayra so I could see them side by side. mmmmmm

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315114449.jpg

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315114548.jpg

And then for good measure I also rolled my Egg out

Car Mechanic Simulator 2021_20250315114626.jpg

What do you guys think? Should I keep it? I think im gonna keep it. If I do, eventually I'll rip the engine back out and fully upgrade it.
