I used G2 caliper paint when I did the 05/06 GTO caliper conversion on my car. It's brush on, but they came out great and have been holding up well.

Very easy to use, best if you have jack stands and can take all 4 wheels off. Issue being, once you mix the reactor with paint, you have to use it all in like 4hrs iirc.
No need for a clear coat and they can color match if you want.
1st coat looks like shit and you will be mother fucking me, lol.
2nd coat it looks a lot better, sometimes you need a 3rd sometimes just touch ups.

I've had good luck with the VHT Engine Enamel since there are more colors to choose from compared to typical caliper paint. I leave the calipers on the car. Good pre-cleaning is the key for any spray can job so it doesn't peel off or coat unevenly, of course. Ideally they would be cured with engine heat or in an oven, but after they've dried, I just go for a drive and do a few hard stops. They've held up for the typical 2-3 years that I keep a daily driver without chipping or fading, and they clean up easily too. Pictures of the last 3 cars that I've done over the last 5 years:

I might be the only one here, but Im not a fan of the G2 stuff. Not because I've used it, but I've seen a multitude of cars that have, and up close its usually streaky and doesnt look great. Even people online say shit like "man the G2 stuff is awesome calipera turnes out amazeballs." Then they post a pic and it looks like complete shit...lol

If it were me and I was doing paint myself, Id pick a high temp color and primer of my choice, and then top it off with a nice 2 stage clear. Remove all calipers and spray the shit outta them with brake cleaner. Scuff and sand them real nice and good like. Then take your time! Make sure you get a nice 2 stage clear as that will make all the difference!
