Why does it have to be in the garage? I use mine in my back yard in all weather conditions. This is what I have and I swear by it. I have referred 5-6 friends who had electric smokers, and or Weber smokers and all of them are very happy with it. In fact each and everyone of them sold their old smokers after using this one. Customer service is top notch, if you have a problem or just a question call them up and your talking to the owner. It's a tad bit quicker than a "traditional" smoker as most barrels are, but comes out just as good imo.

I've been using my CampChef 24DLX and it's been perfect. Using exclusively with Cookin' Pellets Perfect Mix from Racine, WI. Smoke flavor is good & solid, last cook I supplemented with an A-MAZE-EN Pellet Tube as well that I already had, even better flavor. All I did was add a gasket to the lid & it'd held temp fairly well. Just cooked a pizza for lunch and it held 400* with ease even though it's 4* outside and a bit windy by me. Things been great and looks perfect next to the Weber Kettle.
