🔧 BUILD Bub's Sea Ten

General Information

Through some bitter sweet family things I don't care to disclose on the forum, I present the new to me 1969 Chevrolet C10. I've always loved this truck and jumped at the opportunity when it was offered to me. I have zero time, need, or means to own but I'll make it work. Plans are to drive the fucking tires off of it and wear my new balances at cars and coffee.

I'll be doing a front disc conversion since the 4 corner drums arent very nice. I'll do some suspension updates/upgrades to make it more street able and then I'm on the fence about a 2/4 drop. Also if I can fix the A/C that'd be cool as fuck.

The truck is very much in survivor shape and very minimal rust. It's originally a Texas truck and to the best that I've known still has it's original motor and trans.

I think uppers correct the geometry, lowers just make it better. I bought both because I am going low enough were its not gonna ride cushy anyway so might as well make it handle good. I am planning to do front and rear sways too.

The 70 is literally just Rear springs and Front spindles? I love the simplicity!

I dig it due to the nostalgia. History is worth it to me. My truck has non oem mirrors but I'll leave them because its how I got it and its part of the trucks story. Im not restoring it so it makes sense to me.

Even though this is Bubs truck now its really always gonna be his grandpa's and when his kids grow up to me its cooler if they see it how he had it.

Exactly. I'll fix a few broken things and add my touch to it and when my boy is old enough to have his turn I'm sure he'll do some things too. Probably an electric motor swap and fidgit spinner steering wheel

Scored some 15*8 steel wheels that'll clear this thing when it's on disc brakes. I'm going to have them blasted and coated. I'm looking to poll the audience on white rims with the wheel covers or body colored. (I couldn't find a pic in saddle) stock is silver. I can't tell if that's original or most likely re spray painted at some point. *Tires will be black wall.

So while my brother is in "quarentine" or whatever we're calling it, he did me a solid and did my suspension work over the weekend mainly so he can have his garage back I'm thinking.

Still need to get the tires switched out which obviously is back burnered for now. If it looks crooked in a few pics it's because he did one side took some pics and then did the other.

I thought this was some boat thread or some shit. Fuck I missed out.

Truck is looking good and I love the direction it’s going. I like the idea of white wheels if you ever decide to go that route, chrome looks good too though.

nostalgia ftw. Wish I had my grandpas old square body 2wd burb. Was blue and white.
