My wife wants chickens. Thankfully because we live in Mchenry city it’s not allowed. She has shown me all kinds of live laugh love pumpkin spice late white girl looking chicken coops and shit. I’m not all that great with cutting wood so thank fuck.

After I start on the project the wife wants me to make. I was thinking of doing something small for the garage that's close by.

I also have to make a day bed for my oldest daughter and some kind of bed thing for my youngest and some pantry thing.

Quick project today. Bought a couch cushion off marketplace for $7, and $12 of cedar fence slats to make a new dog bed. Room smells great too!

Sunday funday.....

Decided to dig to see how far this pole went down and see what's beneath the soil. We think it was an old flag pole, but have no idea. Always has water in it, so I assume it goes deep.

Well, what was exposed was about 6" x6" around it due to the grass. Uncovered the grass and found a big ass concrete square about 2'x2'...well fuck.



So I dig around it....at the one spot, I am about 18" deep and still at about 18" x18" of concrete...



Used a sledge and that wasnt getting far. Went to HD and got a SDS hammer drill, chisel bit and metal sawzall bit. Got about 4-6" gone, but man is it a pain in the ass. Going to go a few more inches, cut the pipe close to flush and cover it with dirt. I have no clue how deep it goes and not willing to find out

Didnt think it would do much. The concrete is deeper then 2 feet down.

Finished this bitch off today. Little more chiseling, cut the pipe with a Sawzall and filled it back up.

Pipe was just full of mud.
