No base shoe going down?
Probably not.

I'm not a huge fan of it if Im being honest, I usually just do a baseboard to cover the expansion gaps in a floating floor and leave it at that. Who knows, maybe I will do it one day, but for now, the room is ready to have furniture moved back into it after I build the ikea wardrobes for it.....

I always thought it was needed to keep the floor in place (so no gaps develop)

It's usually to make sure any gaps between the baseboard and the floor are covered because you dont want a bunch of shit accumulating in that gap, but since I used self leveler on the slab first there are no gaps between the floor and baseboard so I'm not too concerned.

If I notice any gaps forming I can add base shoe later.

God damn is that close, did you forget about the baseboard and that blew your measurement?
Looks like a perfect fit to me? :s00ls:

I just didnt want to take even more from the bathroom closet so I just got the measurements from the wardrobes and made the spot fit them. Wanted them to have more of a built in feel without a built in pricetag.

Finished the pump area. The further pipe, inlet for the washer, was at a tee along the wall with a sink that was cut out either by the dumbfuck PO or the original owners. It was also plugged with silicon. Ended up removing about 6’ of piping and the plugged end was full of shit. Fairly certain literally. I just need a new cover as this one is rusting away and falling into the pit.

Got these lights readjusted and ran a switch for them so I don’t have to physically plug and unplug them. Also so I can run the barn lights and the bench lights independently.

And simple fix, unlike the reiterated dumbfuck of a PO, rewired this little one foot by foot and a half heater. It works fucking WONDERS at warming the basement. So now the finished basement is as warm, if not warmer, than the upstairs.

Ohh yeah. Did more work on what my wife is now calling the men’s room. The 70yo faucet and sink are up and running… at least on the cold side. I’ll tackle the hot side tomorrow am before work.

Still have to refinish the old sink but that will be later.

Also buttoned up the wiring for the room and relocated the light.

If all goes well I rent a truck and pickup some drywall this weekend. Then half ass level the floor and throw down more free VCT tile and the men’s room will be useable.

Self leveling underlayment works wonders.... Just mix it a little thinner than they suggest with a little more water and itll find it's own level easily and be easier to feather edge.

Garage is getting closer to being done.

Have some wire clean up to do, and need to finish up the drywall and paint.

Finally got everything where I want it now.

Wish all my tool boxes matched, but that's what happens when you're accumulating shit for 30 plus years.

Griffey almost went to doggy heaven tonight. ?

Griffey wanted to go for a cruise lol.
You need to go buy the matching big Husky tool box to match the one on the wall. Got that nice vette, gonna have the Cubby Blue Chevy soon. The garage is gonna look like shit with mismatched tool boxes
At some point I'll probably do that and throw a second wall cabinet up.

When my kids move out they can each take a tool box with them, minus the tools.
