I actually like the kreg system. The clamps have been key for me. I buy the off brand ones though, fuck paying for the kreg clamps. I have both and it’s not worth it paying for the Kreg ones. With the price of sanded ply right now that dresser cost you a fortune .

I need a reloading work bench and the last one I got off marketplace was flimsy. Idiot me for impulse buying. My wife had a bunch of Ikea Furniture show up on this pallet, holy fuck it is sturdy so I figured why not use it?

I want to replace the lower cross braces and still need a top but it is 90% there. After that I need to break it down and put it in the basement.

bought the right combination of board widths for my 32 inch pallet top.

then cut them to length and screwed them down. The screw spacing is due to the pallet gaps.

not wholly unsturdy. No clue what I have into it but it wasn't cheap. Then again lumber is fucking bank these days.

Picked up some awesome live edge walnut from this place in West Chicago called RAW Heartwood. The guy over there Garret was super helpful and has a bunch of knowledge. Made a console table and a coffee table. Finished it with Odie’s Oil. Shit is not cheap but so easy to use and you are literally done/can literally handle the product with a few hours.

Both! That 9 oz jar was $50. Given the time and hassle of using traditional stain it is worth it. I did it indoors with no mask or gloves. It’s also food safe.
stain is nasty to work with, I would say that is worth the price

Damn Jim. Nice work. I feel like you need to open your own business and sell all the good random stuff you make.

Thanks Andy, I've thought about businesses in the past. It's a big commitment on the proper equipment to do this at scale/properly and doing stuff in the garage can be an absolute mess. Maybe I need to take a leap at some point here because I do have an entrepreneurial spirit, but where I am at now I make really good money. I feel like I would need a dedicated space for this. Maybe I could rent a small shop for my endeavors. A dedicated space would certainly make things easier on my OCD mind.
