Any body have suggestions for the posts? They used to be carpet, lots of glue on there now that I can’t get off

Are the posts boxed in? If so rip the wood off, turn it around and screw it back together, I can’t imagine they glued both sides. Or replace the wood

For Christmas I got a kit for a ps5 controller for short/quick triggers/presses. So instead of having a bunch of play in a trigger or button, it's just a matter of a small and quick press and that's it. Big difference. Had to take the controller apart completely and install the pieces. It was straight forward, and pretty easy. I actually enjoyed doing it.

Well thats quite cool. I've COMPLETELY disassembled a PS4 before......but never a controller  What is this a benefit for? FPS games?

People would buy Scuff controllers or those other pro controllers. Quicker aiming, faster response. Instead of needing to press a trigger all the way down to "activate" that press, this allows much quicker presses without the trigger/button travel. The company that made the mods for this also has remappable back paddles you can throw on. Buying one of these controllers through a company, and you're looking at over $100. The kits are less than $20 each if I'm not mistaken for each one (buttons/directional, and triggers). I used to buy these kinds of controllers back during ps3 and early ps4 days.

Our house came with some sketchy halogen puck lights under the cabinets. I’ve always been a little Leary of them as the plastic housings were melted around the lenses, then I took them out and saw they were wired with a cut extension cord, tied in a knot with electrical tape around it .

I was just going to throw some LED strip lights under there like a college dorm room, but then watched a YouTube video that showed they aren’t very hard to cut and connect with solder less connectors.

Got some aluminum channel with diffusers so the individual LED chips dont reflect off the counters as much. Cut them with a jigsaw and a speed square since it’s the only saw I had around with metal blades.

Realized the solderless connectors would have fit with the 8mm strips I originally had, but too bulky to fit in the channel with the waterproof 5050 10mm strips I upgraded to. Had to buy a soldering station, liquid electrical tape, heat shrink and heat sink clips to actually do it the right way.

Came out pretty well. Was concerning that old lights were actually burning the bottom of the cabinets also. Have the cabinets above the sink left to do, but I ran out of clips to mount the channel under the cabinets.

Is that a smart strip, or just a basic strip? Hooked to switches?

I was thinking about getting some smart strips and just adding them to homekit and turn on automatically at sunset and turn off at sunrise.
Its basic. You can tell by only having 2 wires. Its just power.

Just a basic strip. I already have switched outlets in the cabinets from the lights that were there originally. I watched a video where a guy put basic strips in on wyze outlets for a similar setup.

Gotcha. I havent really done anything with light strips so no experience on my end. My wife thinks Im nuts for wanting to get smart RGBs, but whatever. Its my damn house!
You'll be a pro after this. Add in an arduino and you have smart LEDs of all sizes and shapes for anywhere.

These are projects I'd like to do with them:
