Programming *is* doing what it is told. Just because it can make simple decisions from a list of options, doesn't mean its doing it on its own. And rewatching the video it looks like it was just straight up following a program. The music was probably dubbed after.

My entire point was that when the robot is making its own decisions that its not programmed to do - thats when its time to worry.
