If you have any home improvement projects on the horizon, or just want to upgrade your tool collection, Amazon’s running an insane one-day deal on a 4-tool Bosch combo kit.

$285 gets you a 1/2" drill/driver, a 1/4" hex impact driver, a reciprocating saw, and a circular saw, all of which will run off the two included 18V battery packs.

I did the math, and buying all four tools separately would run you $647, and this combo pack has legitimately never sold for less than $500. Hell, the reciprocating saw alone costs $267 right now, so you’re basically getting the three other tools for $18. So if you have any inkling you might need these in the future, this really is an impressive deal.

Besides a drill and recip saw, corded tools are better for a homeowner IMO. The stuff is going to last forever for diy use. You'll be buying a whole new set of tools every 8 years with the battery powered stuff. Batteries are where they rape you. Just went through this. Have a perfectly good ridgid drill and impact, 2 new batteries are 70% of the cost of a new combo set.

I have some corded but wouldn't give up my cordless for anything. I have had some of my c3 kit for 7 years and yeah batteries are expensive I feel like I have gotten enough use to justify them. But sometimes the power of a corded tool is necessary so I like having both.

Ridgid has the lifetime service agreement! I love my new ridgid set, especially the cordless fucking shopvac. It runs for atleast 20 minutes on one charge (more than I use for one job).

But to the point these are good deals..
