🔧 BUILD Boostie's Dust Collecting Unicorn.... 04 Cobra

General Information

Figured I would share with you guys my build so far. This car has brought me through hell and back and slowly getting it to my liking. Originally the car had a lot of weird and show type stuff like air ride and Tv's about everywhere you could look and was lacking in power. I have removed a LOT and changed+ added quite a bit. Wanted to build this car as a quick street car so performance wise I am pretty much done. Still need some suspension tweeking and minor details changed.

Done a lot of house keeping items lately to try to make life a little easier and nicer.

The plan is to have a "full" interior and I have obtained almost everything. There is now floor carpet, center console, factory dash and plastics. Rear seat has a scott rod delete and I need to grab a second Kirkey seat for the passenger side. I also re-carpeted the rear deck and plan on tackling the headliner. If anyone has any suggestions on redoing the headliner without having to pull the windshield I am all ears, obviously the car has a cage and its tight to the roof.

Exterior wise, added some quick latch hood pins to get rid of the 80's style chrome through hood pins and a scott rod wiper cowl delete panel. Finally got a ford emblem for the front bumper as well.

Still gotta get a th400 and electronics but we getting there!

Is that just a stock 5.3? GOT damn that car is nice, very minty.

Basic sloppy stage 2 setup. Sbe, cam with valve train and arp head bolts. Should be more than enough power while I try to get the chassis squared away and learn the holley tuning. If the engine lasts to the point where I want to start leaning on it more I’ll consider doing rods and pistons with a refresh.

I’ll have to update this shortly with better pix! Both cars have been getting some love.

Cobra has new wheels...well I have tears for now, waiting on the fronts and also have some Brembo brakes that need to get installed on the front.

Notch has the engine & trans installed....Sbe 5.3 Th400 & PTC converter. Upgraded the intake to a holley race manifold and a few other odds and ends. Welded up a new exhaust that goes through the fender for extra clearance and have the fuel system done minus running the line from the pump to the rail. The car is coming together slowly but surely as I am doing it alone in my garage [emoji23] still gotta wire in the holley and I hopefully should be able to fire her up soon. I’ll have to take some better pix but here are a few randoms
