🔧 BUILD Boostie's Dust Collecting Unicorn.... 04 Cobra

General Information

Figured I would share with you guys my build so far. This car has brought me through hell and back and slowly getting it to my liking. After what seems like forever I finally got the wheels and tires on. The rear wheels had production errors on them that caused the lips to be all messed up. About a month later a new pair was made and sent over. Extremely pleased with the look, not the most happy about all required to make them work but oh well. Should be at GLD this weekend to see how the car does compared to the 18" drag radials.

Still haven't ridden in this thing.

One of these days steven

This thread needs an idle video. Looks really slick in black. I must have been living under a rock because this is the first 03/04 I've seen that is black.

Ill have to dig something up. Doesent sound like anything crazy idling since it stock cams but still sounds decent.

Few spring time pictures. Redoing the trunk to simplify things, fixing a header to cylinder head exhaust leak, changing rear suspension and possibly doing a little vinyl work next. Also sometime soon I believe I'm going to order some R888 tires for the rear as my current drag radials are spent.

I love your car. 03/04 is the best looking mustang ever.

Thanks Mookie! I agree they are up there on looks, just sad how advancements in sports cars have gotten so crazy that a once untouchable car is quite mild compared to modded new chassis. This thing with all the upgrades I had to do would get stomped by most new cars with half the mods. I love this thing though and don't ever plan on getting rid of it.

Finally after what seems like forever got my cylinder head to header exhaust leak fixed. Put a few miles on the car yesterday and everything seemed ok! Now I get to pull the rear apart for the next round of crap

Leaky middle primaries. Went with a little better style gaskets this time opposed to the OE style.

Harbor freight bar made the job way easier as the whole k member and suspension had to be removed to access the headers.

Next line of stuff to help get more clearance for my 15" rts wheels and hopefully correct the Rear sag

Finally wrapped up the full tilt boogie toe link bar, eibach spring and Viking double adjustable shock install. Sold my 15" front rts wheels and purchased 17's for a little more clearance around the brakes and eliminated the need for spacers. Rear 15" wheels now clear with all sorts of room. Sag has been corrected and car rides way better now since the shocks I removed were completely non functioning. Hoping to get a few track days soon when it's not 100* out

Couple pix as always

Thanks guys, finally got the car kinda where I want it to be. Wouldn't mind more power (turbo) but after doing the bigger blower and fuel system I don't really want to tear it apart again lol

This car is amazing, I live in itasca as well, Can't believe I haven't seen this.

No shit I didn't know there were any other itasca peeps on here. I am not too far from the metra station.
