Do I have any hope in getting these fender flares paint matched without doing any blending on the fenders?

I had these painted straight color no tint. It doesnt match.

I get that I'm asking a lot to get the paint to match. Can it be done?

Royal Coach in Bartlett should be able to match it for you.

What color is the truck? Oxford White? There are 2 factory pack alternates, past that it would be a custom tint. I am betting the other variance is spot on.

My pair of oxford white 150’s...

Generally speaking, there is more than one factory variance, there may be only one for that color, but my previous career of 14 years was painting cars and trucks , there was more than one color with 6-7 variances. It will generally depend on which plant it was built at. That being a f150, it’s built at 1 of 2 plants, Dearborn or Kansas City, definitely a opportunity for 2 variances. Or you can do a custom mix. I would have your paint supplier take a picture with a camera specific for paint code comparison.

I had to do that to panel paint my Marauder hood, none of my factory variations were even close on spray outs, turns out a Jaguar color was a dead on match, no blending into the fenders or header.

Where did you have your hood painted at?

He asked for other variances of this color and was told this is the only one. Ford offers this color only on 2017 Raptors and the gt350.

Or have them done in black to match your wheels (satin black?). The contrast would look good.

Who ever put those "bolt on" flares on that truck should be shot.

If I cant get them color matched they are going back to the stock Magnetic grey color.

The bed sides/front fenders shouldn't be blended in my crash-course-body-shop-life opinion.

I think it looks better in gray or black. The bolt on ones I only used as an image capture to demonstrate the contrast look, so don't get that worked up about it. ;)

Bolt on fender flares are worse then fake bead locks. Especially when that gen 1 came with smooth flares.

I wanted color matched flares since before I got the truck. I'm kinda surprised the stickers have stayed on this long. I'm not a fan of them either. I prefer a cleaner look.

The flares got dropped off at a real body shop yesterday. They took a pic of my paint with their special camera and I left a head light bezel behind. I hope they come out close.

Collision technique in Wauconda got it right. I'm really happy with how this turned out. I should of paint matched them when I got the truck.

Color matched flares are gayer than owning an egoboost Raptor in the first place

Change my mind.

The real question though.

Is why didn't Ford color match from the factory? Sound like they owe you a brand new truck.

Dont worry. I will still wave back even though you like slow trucks.
