General Information
Lets summarize the shit diesel.
It started with a text from a friend saying come get it for cheap. This is what I ended up with.
Started painting. The desert sand color was in rough shape. When it would get wet you could see the original OD green bleed through.
I've got a thing for green and thought it should go back to its original color since the carc tan was in poor shape.
The suspension rode rough as shit due to it being completely sagged in front. I ordered a set of tuff country HD springs (still softer spring rate than other companies) and a set of 2" blocks for the rear. Turns out the 2" lift, lifted the truck nearly 4".
I hated how small the stock 31x10.5" tires looked after the lift so I ordered some 33" general grabbers since I didn't want to push my luck with the shit 3.08 gears.
Interior got bedlined along with some storage added.
Then I moved to Denver and this went from a DD to something I wanted to hit trails with (there are hundreds of miles of legal trails in the area). The biggest problem was actually getting to trail heads because they all started at at least 8,000ft and got over 12,000ft easily. So a change had to come.
Got an awesome deal on some 6.5 diesel shit. Had to piece together other stuff and mod some things to get it to fit.
Turbo install in my shitty tight 1 car garage:
My crossover
Gauges
All finished:
Got some other stuff put on like extended brake lines and sway bar disconnects:
Hidden winch install:
