So, the daughter of Donald Cambell donated her fathers record setting Speed boat the Bluebird K7. A boat that sat at the bottom of a lake after crashing. They are now rebuilding the boat, and returning it to operational status. I really hope they aren't going to attempt to run it at speeds that killed the original pilot.
Safety and design have come a LONG way since then, and while I'm okay with it being rebuilt for show/exhibition purposes, I don't think anyone should attempt to hit 300mph with this thing. I think its monumentally stupid actually.
Restore it, bring it as exhibition/history piece. But don't push its limits.
