Looks great. I’ve had mine 5 years and am still debating doing it.

My Badgeskins order finally shipped today. I knew he was behind, so that’s fine. Should have it by next week I hope.

Also, got an update from ECS Tuning on my TCR Clubsport rear diffuser kit. Pushed back a few more weeks to a July delivery date now.

Badgeskins installed. I don’t hate the black/blue front grill but I don’t love it either.

I was thinking I'd probably like the blue badge, but in this case, its just too much. I dig the rest tho.

The steering wheel decals come as a 2 pack. I have a full set leftover if you want it IDAFC21 IDAFC21. Come to Cars and Coffee in Yorkville on Sunday and you can have it! I’ll even install it for you, takes 2 mins. Did it on the GLI and I still have the 2nd one of that set too!

yeah I don’t know if I like it or not. I definitely don’t like the black on black (gloss on matte) that I see a lot of. I wanted to fill in the chrome like the rear one, but he doesn’t sell that. At least if I end up hating it, I can peel it right off.

Well for that to happen I'd have to buy a GTI, and then drive it from Arizona to Illinois  But I appreciate the offer!

Ah, I was on Chrome on mobile, so it doesn't show location of poster for me unless I'm on a desktop. LOL

I like the steering wheel one. Not really digging the VW emblems though.
The back one, I like. I had the same thing on my Jetta GLI. It gets rid of alot of the ugly chrome to the emblems. I'm still not sure on the front one yet.

My AliExpress suede steering wheel cover came in today. Not sure when I’ll tackle this one, as I’ve heard it takes hours to complete. My correct pads from Detailed Image also came in today so polishing the GTI and coating it is on my to-do list.

100% do a how-to on the steering wheel cover. Interested in that.
Will do. I've seen a few YT videos on it and I'll snap a bunch of pics to document my process on it.

A few takeaways I've already heard from a few folks who have done it:

  • Remove the steering wheel, makes it easier to work on.
  • Skip the "tape" that comes with the kit and use a Leather Glue

I'm not loving the black and blue Badgeskins that is the only one he offers for the front smooth badge. I was surfing around after I ordered it a few weeks ago and saw this site, I kept it bookmarked in case and I went ahead and ordered their front blackout kit, which is what I wanted from Badgeskins.

While on his site, I saw that he also does color match kits and I ordered this for the rear, so the badge will be black with the tiniest of chrome outlines:

Of course I'll update with pics once I get it.

Still trying to decide on what catback to get.
