Oh and I forgot to mention he’s an ASC mechanic and worked at Honda in Lisle for many years. He’s not there anymore, but still has contacts there, and they couldn’t get him a black CTR at MSRP.

Since VCDS failed my car, I got in the engine bay and unplugged the STUPID fake engine noise speaker. Pain in the ass to get to, but it was easier than unplugging it in the GLI.

Twins noticed the blue flappy paddles on the way to school this AM, so I had to quickly explain transmissions and relate it to the F1 that we've been watching their whole lives. Then I put it in manual mode and flappy paddles through the gears and some revs. One of the twins asked if she could drive my car when she's 16. LOL

4-5 years to go until that time kiddo, and we'll figure it out then.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger and order some OEM+ parts on ECStuning (Some Clubsport parts) and maybe their resonator delete kit. I'm going to search around for the Clubsport parts elsewhere since ECS has them on backorder until mid June as of now. If I can't find them anywhere else, I'll place the order and wait.

Yup these little things will add up to how I want my car to look. A few more smaller things and she’ll be 95% there. Still gotta order the OEM+ plus stuff, then she’ll be done.

I’m surprised it took me this long to remove the badge. That’s usually a first week mod that I do.

Suede steering wheel cover has been ordered. Chose the blue thread option, to match the paint. Said June 1st for a delivery date via AliExpress.

OEM+ TCR Clubsport rear diffuser kit ordered too. Won’t be here until mid June.

Damn, you're not fucking around.
Hahah yeah I had some $$$ set aside for car mods, even before the GTI purchase. I was debating mod the GLI or go this route and I’m glad I did. The GTI is more fun to drive than the Jetta was.
After the diffuser kit, I’ve got a few hundred left for mods. I’m thinking a resonator delete from ECS or maybe some springs, IDK yet what. I’m hoping I’ll win at the IllDub show and have extra money at GRD. LOL

I see your car came with a black spoiler, the black roof certainly ties that in better.
