I dont think the shoe would butt back up to the base then, and even if it did, I'd be worried about driving a nail thru the wire.

You'd have to do it carefully, but those wires look pretty thin. Now a coax cable, not gonna work.

With finished walls and painting done, see above. If the walls and paint weren't done, I would have run it behind the wall and thrown the nice plates on.

Looks great! I agree that the person who did the texture should be shot. Also, on minor OCD detail, but are you going to run the speaker wire/cabling up front behind the wall?

All the speaker wires are up and through the walls. What's exposed is out of the wall, through a cable passthrough outlet and into the speaker, about a foot of exposed wire.

The other wire is the RCA for the subwoofer. I am going to get one of those cable hiders and hide them that way.

I do have the option of running the RCA cable down the middle, with the center channel and pulling the RCA from the middle out to the subs. Currently, they are run through the walls with the towers and come in from the outside.

Last night, kids wanted Chipotle for dinner, so we went. There’s a Hobby Lobby right by chipotle so we ran in there afterwards, I have some vinyl records I’m putting up in the bar/game area and I needed a display for one of the vinyl records.
