Thanks! What VAG do you have? I remember test driving an 01 GTI back in the day at Autobahn Mt Prospect (a high school buddy was sales manager there for a long time and I got my GLI from Evanston Autobahn from a different high school buddy)

Just picked up a 2018 RS3 and will be selling my 2016 Audi TT-S! Before that had a 2016 GLI like yours and prior was a 2013 Jetta TDI

I also have a shitload of Hot Wheels. I started collecting years ago, mainly the MR2s and I have nearly every Hot Wheel version of the 2nd gen on a card, including most of the hard to find variations and some errors. All in, I think I have about 400 Hot Wheels and I started organizing them and selling them off late last year. We moved this spring and they are all in boxes and in my basement. I need to reorganize them and get prices for them and try and sell them again.

Wheels have been plastidipped with ShadowBlack Hyperdip from DipYourCar. Going to get snow tires today but likely not mounted until next week. Getting wife’s Edge ST wheels swapped over this morning and I’ll order some tires for my GLI.

Thanks. Snow tires are going on the black wheels. My stock wheels have curb rash on a couple so I might try to fix them this winter then paint them the same.

wheels got dropped off yesterday to have tires mounted. Going back on Tuesday to have themput in the car.

Had to run a quick errand at lunchtime and I’m working from home, so I ran the GLI through the coin-op near the house to rinse her off and then I wiped her down at home. Used Meguiar’s Ceramic Detailer to shine her up. Wheels need another layer or 2 of the plastidip, I’ll tackle that problem in the spring next year when they’re off the car. In the meantime dressed the tires.

I was probably out there at the Joliet Autocross at the Junior College around the same time frame. I raced my 2002 WRX (blue) and my 2000 Firehawk convertible (pewter) there many times in the 2001-2004ish time frame. Had 2 first place finishes in my classes due to their time structuring, one with my WRX, and 1 with the Firehawk.

I've also had an 88 MR2 (n/a) in my past, and have been on a VW kick for a few years (currently a GTI and the wife a Beetle).
