I still stick by my guns that the show should have focused on gus and Mike and Jimmy be the background characters.

Their characters are too one dimensional. You know who they are, and you know WW ruins any sort of interesting story arc with them.

Jimmy isn't exactly exciting either. If you look at each episode truly objectively, he doesn't do anything one week to the next. I dunno.. I just never found him all that interesting on BB. Show is great, don't get me wrong.

I actually really like Jimmy's character. You know how he ends up, but he is wildly different on BCS. And it is slowly developing him into Saul. As opposed to Mike and Gus who are exactly the same.

And we are far enough into the show that they can even have flashbacks, like the opening tonight, to further develop Jimmy (as opposed to Saul.)

I like Gus and Mike as side stories, but I'm all in on Jimmy/Saul as being the focal point. His journey from start to finish has intrigue, despair, comedy, courage, survival, and conflict. I find myself rooting for him all the time.

Totally didn't even phase me when Howard said "Fuck you Jimmy". Just saw a post on bookface about it and realized this is an AMC show and not HBO.

Comments say that they dropped the F bomb in BB all the time but I'm not remembering that.

They did actually. I remember Walt saying "fuck you" to Gretchen's face at a restaurant. And Jesse calling Meth Demon's character a sick fuck.

Also sounds like that guy at the end was sent to keep an eye on things. The comment about “good with numbers” had to do with making sure nobody is skimming

I enjoyed it. Odenkirk is just amazing. His speech at the end almost had me going. I had to keep reminding myself it was all BS. But it really did feel like it was coming from a place of truth.

And of course the Gustavo/Mike storyline was good. We're getting sooooooo close now. Can't wait for next season.
