I have been waiting to make a thread. I was hoping to have the rear bumper done and back on the car but I'm tired of waiting. I have posted some pictures in the ownership thread but since this is a bit specific and picture heavy, New Thread Alert. Plus, thanks to Mook Mook I have my own section so it should be easy to find. Hold please, saving multiple spots....

The driver seat and rear seat back had some upholstery work done and while the seats were out, I cleaned the carpets. Separate video can be found in this section.

The bumpers were removed to be repainted. Spider cracks, rock chips and misc BS I was tired of looking at. It turns out that the rear bumper is being replaced.
Here is why I decided to have them repainted:

The driver quarter panel and rear bumper had paint work prior to my ownership, as seen here on the bottom lip of the rear bumper:

Once the bumpers were loaded in the truck, the first day of cleaning started:

I did not get any after pictures of the top bumper brace but it was cleaned and coated with CarPro DLUX

The underside parking flap and misc plastics were cleaned and coated with CarPro DLUX, 50/50 here:

a few pictures of the front bumper after it was reinstalled:

Since the shop did not want to wet sand and buff the bumper off the car, they left the badge off. I will install it after addressing any dirt nibs

The billet grill was powdercoated and will be reinstalled after the car is polished and coated. Hoping for the first week of May

Oh nice! This thread is updated. I meant to come back but you were in the process of reserving posts. Will check out later tonight.

Yep. I edited all posts and saved the updates all at once. The laptop does this odd thing where sometimes it will take a tab for the internet and separate it. I thought I lost the first few posts but thankfully not.
It may be a bit much for a mobile viewer but for those who are on a computer, check it out !

daaaaaang!!

Thanks Andy (y)

Thanks man, this picture does seem to capture the insanity.
what pic do you wanna use for the thread cover? gonna share this tomorrow.
The one above works for me. It represents what I was going for, :jg:

There is “meticulous”, and then there is Gav’s level of meticulous, another order of magnitude.

thank you ! I take it as a compliment. Some people at work did not know what to say. Even my parent were like WTF are you doing.

Great work Gav! There is a certain level of enjoyment you get from knowing all of that shit nobody else sees is clean!

Thanks Jim ! I agree, it feels good to know areas are clean. And I have the pictures to prove it

Spot on! Awesome work Gav, that some next level shit!
100% spot on.

Wish I had half of his motivation as of late!
Can't wait to see the finished product and hopefully see it in person one day!

Thanks guys.
The rear bumper is ready for pick up today, so I will update "saved 6 " with a complete rear end post.

The goal is to polish and coat the first week of May ( the rear bumper will have to wait a couple more weeks. All depends on weather etc ).
