I have a 2008 bullitt wit the standard 8.8 axle. I just put on steeda lower controls and was curious if i could remove the large lumps of rusty iron ford bolts to the tubes to help stop the wheel hop. I figured since i dont make huge h/p and have some very good lowers i could lose that estimated 16 lbs of wasted weight. Any thoughts? thanks.

Aron is right they are for harmonics, if you ask me pull them off and its easy enough one bolt each see if you notice anything. Mine have been off for over a year.

Yep. I was going to remove mine too, but I have been lazy. They are pretty heavy pieces from what I hear too. I say do it, and if you hear gear whine and it bothers you, then put them back on.
